The University of Verona has currently opened Ph.D. positions in the humanities, including 3 positions for Linguistics, within the Ph.D. programme in Foreign Literatures, Languages and Linguistics.
One of the fellowships is part of a cooperation agreement with UiT The Arctic University of Norway, Tromsø. Candidates selected for this fellowship will spend 1 year at the partner university in Tromsø and will be awarded a degree from both partner universities. A second fellowship is part of the research project ‘Minimality in Linguistic Variation’ (pi: Birgit Alber, for a project description see http://www.dlls.univr.it/?ent=progetto&id=4741&lang=en). Candidates interested in this fellowship have to indicate their preference in the application.
Selected Ph.D. candidates will receive a 3-year fellowship. Since teaching in the Linguistics curriculum will be held entirely in English and no previous knowledge of Italian is required we encourage applications from international students.

The selection procedure for the curriculum in linguistics involves evaluation of the candidate’s CV, letters of presentation and research project as well as an interview (on request via skype).
