The School of English organizes an international conference-symposium entitled “SHAKESPEARE’S RELATIONSHIP TO CLASSICAL AND MODERN GREECE” which will take place on Saturday 22 October 2016 at the Amphitheatre of the Teloglion Foundation of Art, AUTH. The Symposium, which participates in the celebration of 400 years of Shakespeare’s afterlife, will discuss both Shakespeare’s relation to the Greek classics and to modern translations and theatrical productions of his work. It is unique in that it brings together classical, theatre, and reception studies as well as theatre practice represented by well-known stage directors. Admission is FREE.
