The Programme consists of the following:

  • Compulsory Courses

  • MA Dissertation or Portfolio

For the MA in Foreign Language Learning and Teaching, postgraduate students need to attend  and successfully complete 6 courses, three of which are compulsory and three are elective. Each course corresponds to 10 ECTS. Postgraduate students also need to  write a diploma thesis or create a portfolio (30 ECTS). The total number of credits (ECTS) required for the MA is 90.

  • FLLT 568 – Bilingual Education
  • FLLT 571 – Teaching Foreign Languages to Young Learners
  • FLLT 572 – New Technologies in Language Education: The Use of Corpora
  • FLLT 573 – Design and Evaluation of Teaching Materials
  • FLLT 575 – Syllabus Design
  • FLLT 576 – Learning and Teaching Skills
  • FLLT 577 – Individual Differences in Second/Foreign Language Learning
  • FLLT 578 – Measuring Second/Foreign Language Performance
  • FLLT 579 – Teaching Foreign Languages to Learners with Special Learning Difficulties
  • FLLT 580 – Foreign Languages Teaching Practice
  • FLLT 581 – Teaching Foreign Languages for Specific Purposes
  • FLLT 582 – Teacher Education
  • FLLT 583 – Literature and Arts in Language Teaching
  • FLLT 598 – Supervised Research in Applied Linguistics

Courses can be offered during the fall or spring semester. Students can select some of their elective courses.
