There is a choice of either the MA Dissertation or the Portfolio.

The length of the MA dissertation is 18.000 words. This includes the main text as well as excerpts, examples and notes but not appendices, references, questionnaires, tables with statistics etc. Students are expected to carry out their MA dissertation during the 3rd semester of their studies and submit it by February 15th. In case an extension is granted, the new deadline of submission is June 30th.

Students wishing to continue for a PhD on a more theoretical strand of applied linguistics are advised to choose the dissertation option.
